1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the SafetyLitics website (safetylitics.com), including any free tools, calculators or content, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About SafetyLitics

SafetyLitics is a specialist HSSE consultancy operated by Ali Bakhtiar Nizamani, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The site provides information about our consultancy services, free HSSE tools and educational content.

3. Free tools and calculators

The HSSE calculators (LTIFR, TRIR, severity rate, DART rate, near-miss ratio) and the Safety Culture Score are provided free of charge, as-is, for general guidance only. They are not a substitute for professional HSSE advice, a formal audit, or compliance assessment.

All calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser. Your incident data, hours worked and other inputs are never sent to our server. For the Safety Culture Score, only the aggregate score and per-dimension scores are transmitted (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Rate conventions (e.g. per 200,000 vs per 1,000,000 hours) vary by regulator and region. You are responsible for confirming the basis your jurisdiction requires.

4. Consultancy services

Information on this site about our HSSE consultancy services is for general informational purposes. It does not constitute an offer or contract. The terms of any consultancy engagement will be set out in a separate agreement between you (or your organisation) and SafetyLitics.

5. Accounts

You may optionally create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, server or database;
• scrape, crawl or harvest data from the site in an automated manner beyond what is needed for search-engine indexing;
• submit false, misleading or abusive content through any form or tool;
• interfere with the site’s operation or other users’ access.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, design, graphics, code, tools and the SafetyLitics name and logo — is owned by SafetyLitics or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from this content without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use (e.g. printing a calculator result for your own records).

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content (including all free tools) are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafetyLitics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, its tools or any content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site shall not exceed MYR 500.

10. Third-party links

The site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices or terms of any third-party site.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
